My interest in film began when I took a videography class from Mrs. Claudia Hooten at Alta Sierra Intermediate School in Clovis, California. Mrs. Hooten was the first person to introduce me to the skills that I would need to become a videographer. From that point on I was hooked. Two years later, during my sophomore year at Buchanan High School, I enrolled in another videography class taught by Mr. Daniel Pearce, a former editor for Technicolor. With Mr. Pearce as my mentor, he helped me improve and perfect many of my video skills, leaving me with more experience under my belt than most of my peers. My accomplishments thus far include being an award-winning director, editor, and writer. In 2015, I won seven Scoopy awards after entering the Annual Fresno Bee Student Film Festival. That same year I won two Slick Rock awards after entering the Annual Slick Rock Student Film Festival in Visalia, California. The following year, in 2016, I won two photography awards at the Fresno Fair. I also won a photography award from the Photographic Society of America and another Slick Rock Best Newscast award. After Buchanan High School, I started at Clovis Community College and I am currently working as an Operations Technician at KSEE 24, a local news station. In addition to college and KSEE 24, I run my own small-scale production company, NJanzen Productions. I have recorded live events, such as weddings, and made commercials for local businesses. I am passionate about videography and all aspects of the filming industry.
